Recap of Girlpower

Girlpower at MoSLP! - a recap of the opening of the Artistic Fashion Photography of Monroe Snook - Music provided by Cylindrian Rutabaga, accompanied by light dancer Cellandra Zon.

On Saturday 1/25, the Museum of SL Photography celebrated the opening of its first one-woman show - The Artistic Fashion Photography of Monroe Snook.Monroe, an award-winning photographer and one of the initial six photographer's whose works were exhibited at the opening of MoSLP, is showing 18 images all of which are examples of her artistic fashion photography which is featured in the monthly edition of Modavia Fashion Directory where she is a leading contributor; in many high-end designer showrooms such as Haute Couture; Anubis Hartunin, and Indryra Seigo. She is also resident photographer and image consultant at Dreamz Agency.

Cylindrian Rutabaga, soulful singer/songwriter played half her set on guitar and half on piano, treating the attentive and enthusiastic crowd to a mixture of her original songs such as The Demon Song and Your Mind is a Labyrinth and Embracing the Tapestry together with great covers of the Dresen Dolls Coin Operated Boy and her beautiful rendition of the Leonard Cohen classic Hallelujah.As Cylindrian played, she was accompanied by Cellandra Zon, interpretive light dancer, who provided a visually stunning show full of movement, color and light above the appreciative crowd.
